These Listing Rules explain what may be posted on Best Farm Deals and what sellers must do when creating and maintaining listings.
By submitting a listing, you agree to follow these rules, the Terms of Use and all applicable laws.
1. Listings Must Be Accurate
Sellers must provide complete and truthful information about the equipment being offered.
A listing must accurately describe:
- Manufacturer
- Model
- Year, when known
- Condition
- Price
- Location
- Ownership status
- Known damage or defects
- Included attachments and accessories
- Delivery or pickup terms
Do not hide important problems, misrepresent the condition or claim features the equipment does not have.
2. Use Clear and Recent Photographs
Photographs should show the actual equipment being sold.
Listings should include clear images of:
- Front and rear
- Both sides
- Controls or operator area
- Tires, tracks or working components
- Attachments and accessories
- Damage, wear or repairs
- Serial-number plate, when appropriate
Do not use another seller’s photographs without permission.
Stock images may only be used when clearly identified and when the listing also includes photographs of the actual equipment.
3. One Listing Per Item
Create one listing for each individual piece of equipment.
Do not:
- Post the same item repeatedly
- Create duplicate listings in multiple categories
- Repost the same equipment to keep it at the top of search results
- List equipment that is no longer available
Dealers with several identical new units may use one listing if the quantity is clearly stated.
4. Choose the Correct Category
Place the listing in the category that best matches the equipment.
Do not place listings in unrelated categories to gain more visibility.
Best Farm Deals may move a listing to a more appropriate category without notice.
5. Use a Clear Title
The title should identify the equipment being sold.
Good examples:
- 2022 Enorossi Vortex 6 Tedder
- 72-Inch Skid-Steer Snow Pusher
- Used 10-Wheel Hay Rake
- New Category 1 Rotary Tiller
Avoid titles such as:
- Great deal
- Must sell
- Look here
- Best equipment
- Cheap machine
Do not use excessive capital letters, symbols or promotional wording.
6. State the Price Clearly
Enter the actual asking price in Canadian dollars unless the listing clearly states another currency.
Do not enter a false price to attract attention.
Examples of unacceptable pricing include:
- $1 when the actual price is higher
- $0 for equipment that is not free
- Contact for price when a price is required
- Monthly payment amounts presented as the full purchase price
When the price is negotiable, enter the asking price and state that reasonable offers may be considered.
7. Describe the Condition Honestly
Select the condition that best describes the equipment.
New
The equipment has not been used and is being sold as new.
Used
The equipment has been operated or previously owned.
For Parts or Repair
The equipment is incomplete, damaged, not operational or primarily suitable for parts.
Known defects must be disclosed in the description. Normal wear should not be described as new or like new.
8. Use the Correct Location
Enter the city or nearest town where the equipment is currently located.
Do not enter a misleading location to appear closer to buyers.
Do not publish a private residential street address in the listing description. Buyers and sellers can arrange an inspection location privately.
9. You Must Be Authorized to Sell the Equipment
Only list equipment that you own or are authorized to sell.
You may not list:
- Stolen equipment
- Equipment subject to an ownership dispute
- Equipment you do not have permission to sell
- Equipment with undisclosed liens or financing claims
- Equipment using altered or removed serial numbers
Sellers are responsible for disclosing known liens, financing or other claims affecting ownership.
10. No Misleading or Fraudulent Content
Listings may not include false, deceptive or suspicious information.
Prohibited conduct includes:
- Pretending to be another person or business
- Using fake contact information
- Copying legitimate dealer listings
- Asking buyers to send deposits for equipment that does not exist
- Claiming equipment is in Canada when it is located elsewhere
- Changing payment instructions after an agreement
- Directing buyers to fraudulent shipping or escrow services
Best Farm Deals may suspend accounts and report suspected fraud to relevant authorities.
11. Keep Communication Professional
Messages and listing content must not contain:
- Threats
- Harassment
- Discrimination
- Obscene content
- Spam
- Unrelated advertising
- Malicious links or files
- Requests for passwords or verification codes
Do not repeatedly contact users who have asked you to stop.
12. Do Not Include Unnecessary Personal Information
Do not place sensitive personal information in a public listing.
Avoid publishing:
- Home addresses
- Banking information
- Identification numbers
- Passwords
- Government document numbers
- Full credit-card details
Phone numbers may be displayed when the seller chooses to make them public.
13. External Links and Contact Information
Listings may include reasonable business contact information where permitted.
Do not use listings primarily to redirect visitors to:
- Unrelated websites
- Competing marketplaces
- Affiliate pages
- Suspicious payment websites
- Social media pages with no equipment details
Best Farm Deals may remove links that create security, spam or usability concerns.
14. Commercial Sellers and Dealers
Dealers and businesses must identify themselves accurately.
Commercial sellers must not present themselves as private sellers to avoid rules, fees or disclosure requirements.
Dealers are responsible for:
- Keeping inventory current
- Providing accurate pricing
- Disclosing applicable taxes and fees
- Removing sold equipment
- Following applicable consumer-protection laws
- Obtaining permission to use manufacturer images and trademarks
15. Auctions and Upcoming Inventory
Auction listings must clearly state:
- Auction company
- Auction date
- Location
- Whether bidding is online or in person
- Buyer’s premiums or other fees
- Link to complete auction terms, when permitted
Equipment that has not yet arrived may only be listed if the expected availability date is clearly disclosed.
Do not list equipment that you do not reasonably expect to have available.
16. Mark Equipment as Sold or Remove It
Sellers must update listings promptly when equipment is:
- Sold
- No longer available
- Withdrawn from sale
- Moved to a different location
- Materially changed in condition or price
Outdated listings create a poor experience and may be removed.
17. Prohibited Items
Some products and categories are not allowed on Best Farm Deals.
Review the separate Prohibited Items page before posting.
Best Farm Deals may remove any listing that it considers illegal, unsafe, misleading, inappropriate or outside the intended purpose of the marketplace.
18. Listing Review and Removal
Best Farm Deals may review, edit, reject, suspend or remove a listing when it:
- Breaks these rules
- Breaks the Terms of Use
- Appears fraudulent
- Receives credible complaints
- Contains inaccurate or incomplete information
- Creates a safety or legal concern
- Is posted in the wrong category
- Is no longer current
- Harms the operation or reputation of the marketplace
Approval of a listing does not mean that Best Farm Deals has inspected or verified the equipment or seller.
19. Account Suspension
An account may be restricted or suspended for:
- Repeated rule violations
- Fraud or attempted fraud
- Harassment
- Spam
- Posting prohibited items
- Creating duplicate accounts to avoid restrictions
- Refusing to correct misleading listings
- Misusing buyer or seller information
Serious violations may result in immediate suspension without prior warning.
20. Report a Listing

- Fraudulent
- Misleading

- In violation of these rules
Use the Report Listing option where available or email:
